In Continuous City, Golrokh Nafisi combines elements such as textiles, hand-embroidered fabrics, in situ wall drawings, etc. that refer to the cities that Golrokh Nafisi visited between 2017 and 2021: Tehran, Cairo, Lahore and Beirut. Each curtain tells a story about a city and is inspired by public space. Brussels also has a place in this new version, and current events in Iran infiltrate the installation as well.
Golrokh Nafisi (b 1981) is a visual artist working from both Amsterdam and Tehran. She studied at Tehran's Art University and then at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
